How will I know if my Samsung Smart TV is compatible with TFC Online?

What is Roku?
 
Roku is a streaming player that connects to your TV that enables you to watch digital content from streaming platforms such as TFC Online. The TFC Online app is now available on Roku.
 
How do I download the TFC Online app on Roku?
 
1. In the Homepage, search and add TFC under Streaming Channels menu. 
2. Once added, TFC app icon will appear on Roku Home menu. 
 
The TFC app is available on the Roku Streaming Channels globally. TFC on Roku app is now available globally and can be downloaded anywhere. Existing TFC Online users can download the app and watch using their current subscriptions. However, purchasing a subscription within the app
 
How do I register in Roku?
 
You need to have an existing TFC Online account to sign-in on your Roku streaming player or Roku TV. 
 
For new users, select SIGN UP FOR FREE
1. Select any package or subscription 
2. The user will be asked if he/she would like to use his/her existing Roku account information to sign up to TFC.
3. Select Allow to proceed or choose Cancel if the user would like to use different information to sign up.
4. Using the virtual keyboard, enter the Roku account password to sign up.
5. Scroll down to Continue then press OK in the remote control
6. Under Terms of Use, TFC Online Terms and Conditions and TFC Online Privacy Notice URLs will be displayed.
7. Click ACCEPT to proceed with the registration. OR Select Decline if the user does not want to proceed.
 
 
How do I sign-in / log in on Roku?
 
For existing TFC Online users, you may log in on Roku using your existing account in two different ways:
1. Sign In Now- by entering the email address and password of the current TFC Online subscription. Click SIGN IN to access the menu.
2. Sign in via code using a web browser on a different device. Go to https://tfc.tv/roku/activate, log-in your TFC Online account, enter the code that appears on your Samsung Smart TV screen, then click Activate.
 
 
How can I check the details on my TFC account in the TFC Roku App?
 
You may go to My Account to check on the details of your TFC account such as your registered name, email, and current subscription.
 
How can I check the details about my Roku device settings in the TFC Roku App?
 
You may go to Settings and click on Roku Device to check on your current Roku device settings.
 
Can I subscribe to TFC Online Premium Subscription and do payment transactions for KBO and other PPV titles on Roku?
 
For customers in US and Canada, you may subscribe to the TFC Online New Premium plan monthly and pay via your Roku account. Please click here.  
 
Transactions for KBO and other Pay-per-view titles should be done via web browser.
 
Subscription purchase via the TFC app on Roku is only available in US and Canada.

3.  In "My Products", the expiration date is indicated under "My Subscription".

You may view your latest subscription by:

  1. Sign in using your social network account or by using your TFC Online credentials.
  2. Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
  3. Select "My Account" under my name.
  4. Once you are in the profile, click "My Products".
  5. The details of your availed subscription and/or movies will display in this section.

You may  go to My Account to check on the details of your TFC account such as your registered name, email, and current subscription.

You may go to Settings, and click on Roku Device to check on your current Roku device settings.

You may retrieve your password by following these steps:

  1. At the homepage, click the "Sign-in" button located at the upper right corner.
  2. You will be directed to Sign-in Page and click the "Forgot Password?" button.
  3. Enter the email address and click "Send Reset Link" button.
  4. Check your email and click the reset password link.
  5. Once you clicked the link, you will be directed to Reset Password page.
  6. Enter the New Password and Confirm New Password and click the "Submit" button.
     
You may change your password by following these steps:
 
1.  Sign in using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials.
2.  Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
3.  Select "My Account" under your name.
4.  In the Profile page, click "Change Password".
5.  In the Change Your Password page, enter your old and new password and click "Set New Password".

You may view or edit your account information by following these steps:

1.  Sign in using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials.
2.  Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
3.  Select "My Account" under your name.
4.  In the My Account, click "Edit" butotn under Profile.
5.  You can edit the following information:
     a. First and Last Name
     b. Country/Region, State and City
     c. Phone
6. Once the information is filled-up, click "Update" button.

 No. The email address is already linked to your TFC.tv account and cannot be changed nor edited.

You may remove your account from every update and notification sent by TFC.tv by clicking the word "here" at the buttom of the email sent to you. The message is "If you do not want to receive any more emails from TFC.tv, please click on the unsubscribe button below. To unsubscribe, please click here."

2.  Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
3.  Select "My Account" under your name.
4.  In the My Account, click "Edit" button under Profile.
5.  You can edit the following information:

7.  A message will prompt to inform you that the account is updated.
 
If updating of your account takes longer than 24 hours, you may contact our customer support to assist you.

 

The privacy settings on TFC.tv depend on the social network account that you are registered to:

  1. For Facebook, please refer to this link and you will directed to Privacy Settings and Tool.

Your profile may be viewed depending on your preferred privacy setting option on TFC.tv.

To change your privacy settings:

1.  Sign in using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials.
2.  Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
3.  Select "My Account" under your name.
4.  Scroll down your page and under Settings, you may set the following to off.
     a.  TFC Profile Visibility
     b.  Share TFC Activities on TFC page
     c.  Share TFC Activities on Linked Social Accounts

You have 3 options on how to manage your activities on TFC.tv:

1.  TFC Profile Visibility.
2.  Share TFC Activities on TFC page.
3.  Share TFC Activities on Linked Social Accounts.

Your TFC.tv activities are automatically shared on TFC.tv page and on your linked social networking accounts upon sign-in/registration.  Your profile page can also be viewed by everyone. You may change this by selecting privacy setting option under your "My Account'.

TFC.tv offers prepaid cards that provide flexible ways to purchase the subscription and retail products of your choice.

Subscription Card
You can activate a specific subscription package directly to your TFC.tv account.
1-Month Premium, and 3-Month Premium packages are available in set retail prices in your region’s local currencies.
Once activated, you can watch all the content available in the subscription package during the applicable subscription period.

Yes, prepaid cards expire. Therefore, its best to consume upon purchase.  You may refer to its validity at the back of the card.

You may subscribe using your prepaid subscription card by following these steps:

1. Sign-in by using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials
2.  Go to your Profile located at the upper right of the site.
3.  Select desired package and the billing period
4.  Enter the 12 alphanumeric or 8 alphanumeric digit Pin in the "I have a code" field and click "Apply" Button
6.  System will automatically deduct the total price. Ensure the amount is correct.
7.  Once all information are correct, click "Place Order".
8.  Check your subscription if the entitlement has been adjusted.

To activate your TFC Online ePINS;

  1. Sign in to your TFC Online account.
  2. Click on the "Watch More - Get Premium" button found on top of the page.
  3. On the Subscription Page, click on the "Select" button of the subscription package that you purchased (Lite, Premium).
  4. On the Payment Page, choose the duration period of your subscription (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual).
  5. Enter your 12-alphanumeric digit PIN on the field specific for Code.
      Note: Please include the spaces (i.e. XXXX XXXX XXXX)
  6. Click "Apply" button to effect the ePIN.
  7. Click "Place Order" button found on the bottom of the page to apply the complimentary Pin.
  8. You will receive a confirmation message once the transaction is successful.
      Note: The entitlement may take time to be credit to your account. Please allot 15 minutes at most.

 

Depending on your current location, TFC Online may accept online payments through the following:

  • AMEX

We now accept debit card as payment for TFC Online purchases.

To subscribe using your credit card:
  1. Sign-in by using your social network account or by using your TFC Online credentials.
  2. You can click the "Watch More - Get Premium" at the bottom of the page or go to "My Account" and select the "My Products".
  3. You can choose either "Upgrade Now" or "Renew Now" (if available) to avail your desired subscription.
  4. Select the preferred package.
  5. Check the amount and select your preferred billing period.
  6. You may also add KBO movies by clicking "Add Cart".
  7. Enter the necessary credit card details.
  8. If you preferred to enroll your credit card to an autopayment, ensure to tick the "Enable auto-renewal for this order."
  9. Once you entered the required details and read the service agreement, click "Place Order" button.
  10. The system will inform you if the payment is successul or not.

1. Sign-in by using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials.
2. You can click the "Watch More - Get Premium" at the bottom of the page or go to "My Account" and select the "My Products
3. You can choose either "Upgrade Now" or "Renew Now" (if available) to avail your desired susbcripton.
4. Select the preferred package.
5. Check the amount and select your preferred billing period.
6. You may also add KBO movies by clicking "Add Cart".
7. Click the "PayPal" tab and enter the necessary credit card details.
8. If you preferred to enroll your credit card to an autopayment, ensure to tick the "Enable auto-renewal for this order."
9.  Once you entered the required details and read the service agreement, click "Place Order" button.
10.  The system will inform you if the payment is successful or not.

- It is a method of payment where it automatically renews the subscription before the expiration date.
- Available initially for Credit Card and PayPal payments only.
- Available for Premium Subscription only
- Not available for retail products to prevent auto-renewal of subscription for specific content  that are no longer airing.

 

No, You can only enroll ONE credit card to use for automatic renewal.

The processing of auto-renewal begins 3 days before the expected expiration of the purchased subscription.

Within these 3 days, TFC.tv will try to renew your subscription. If attempts fail on the 3rd day, autorenew enrollment will be cancelled and you will need to re-enroll a new card for continuous viewing by contacting our customer service.

Payments for TFC Online via Smartpit card / Easy Bayad / E-wallet are no longer available. Currently we have a similar payment option which is payment through Konbini.

When you renew or purchase subscription or KBO or any retail content in TFC Online, Konbini will now be one of the payment options you can choose.

Your payments via Konbini will be reflected within 2 business days.

To rate and review a show:

1.  Sign-in by using your social network account or by using your TFC.tv credentials
2.  From the Entertainment/News/Movies/Live drop down button, click preferred show
3.  Under Ratings and Reviews on the show or episode page, post your overall rating from 1-5 stars
4.  Write your review under your rating, then click Post

1. Update the shockwave plug-in by following the procedure:
     a. Download the shockwave plug-in using your Google Chrome by going to this link: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/.
     b. Please click on "Agree and install now". Program will start running, and wait until it's complete.
     c. Click on the file then choose "Run". You will be prompted that Adobe Shockwave is successfully downloaded.

2. If the shockwave plug-in is installed and the video is not working, go to this link for empty cache procedure.

2. An Adobe Flash Player window will be displayed showing the version information you have. The table indicated will show you the latest player version depending on your browser/platform. 

3. The result will show the Flash Player version if it is updated or not. If your player is an older version, you need to update it.

 1. Update your Flash Player by following this procedure:
     a.  Click this link to go to Adobe Flash Player website
     b.  Click "Install" button to perform installation.
     c.  Follow the instructions on how to install
     d.  Once the installation is complete, check your video if it's working

2. If the flash player is updated but still not working, check if the flash player add-on is enabled by going:
    a. In the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools > Manage Add-ons.
    b. Select Shockwave Flash Object in the list of add-ons if it's enabled. If not, click "Enable" and close the window
        Note: If you do not see Shockwave Flash Object in the list, then Flash Player is not installed for Internet Explorer.

3. If still not working, go to this link for empty cache procedure.
 

  1. Click the gear icon at the top right to open the Settings menu and select Safety > Delete Browsing History.
  2. Select "Temporary Internet Files". You will also need to uncheck all of the other boxes, especially Preserve Favorites website data. This option makes the window delete objects from websites in your Favorites folder, which is necessary to completely clear your cache.
  3. Click the "Delete" button near the bottom of the window to perform the empty the cache.
  4. After a few minutes, the process will be complete.
  1. Right click anywhere in the video and and click “About Adobe Flash Player”.

  3. To ensure that the Shockwave Flash plug-in is available and enabled, do the following:
  1. In the Firefox menu, select Tools > Add-ons.
  2. Select Plugins in the Add-ons dialog box and search the “Shockwave Flash” in the list.
  3. Check if the Shockwave Flash is available and set to “Always Activate”.
    1. If no Shockwave installed, go to this link for Adobe Shockwave Player Download. Follow the instructions on how to install the player.
    2. If there is Shockwave Flash installed and not set to “Always Activate”, set it correctly.
  1. If the Flash player is enabled and the video is not working, go to this link for Clear Cache Procedure
  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select “Options”
  2. Select the “Advanced” panel.
  3. Then click on the “Network” tab.
  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click “Clear Now” button.

1.  Try to clear cache. For procedure, go to this link.

2.    If still no play button, please see below for further troubleshooting.

  1. Go to Apple logo.
  2. Click on System Reference
  3. Look for Flash Player under Other.
  4. Go to Storage> Tick on Allow sites to save information on this computer.
  5. Click on Local Storage Settings by Site. Make sure the TFC.tv is allowed.
  6. Click on Advanced tab, under Browsing Data and Settings click on Delete all button.
  7. Under Delete All Site Data in Flash Player, make sure that Delete All Site Data and Settings is check then press “Delete Data” button.
  8. Under Advanced tab, make sure the “Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)” under Updates is ticked.

 Laptop/Desktop

  1. Open Safari browser, click “Safari Icon” located beside the Apple logo then select “Reset Safari”.
  2. Check  “Empty Caches” only  then click “Reset”.

iPhone/iPad

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Then select “Safari”
  3. Scroll down the screen and select “Clear Cookies and Data”
  4. Click again the “Clear Cookies and Data”

 

Buffering refers to downloading a certain amount of data before starting to play music or movie. If the network is slow, the playback of the video may not keep up, thus, buffering occurs and causes delay in viewing video or listening audio.

Adaptive Streaming

Adaptive Streaming will allow our system to automatically select the best video quality based on your internet speed and computer capacity in real time and adjusting the quality of a video stream accordingly to give you the smoothest video playback available

Troubleshooting Guide:

  1. Restart computer/laptop.
  2. Turn off modem or WiFi router for 2-3 mintues, then turn on. Check if shared with other users.
  3. Check the location if there are any microwaves that might cause the WiFi’s signal strength to weaken or interrupt
  4. Conduct speed test. Go to this link to test your speed.
    1. If the download speed is below 512kbps, call your local ISP for assistance.
    2. If the download speed is above 512kbps, try the Progressive Download. There is an option to choose either “Play High” or “Play Low” Please see more information by clicking this link.

1. Check first the procedures indicated under Technical Issues depending on your browser to resolve your video problem.

2. If the video is still not working, here are the following options that might help in resolving your technical problem:
     a. Close other tabs and browsers.
     b. Close the browser and try to re-open it.
     c. Turn off modem or WiFi router for 2-3 mintues, then turn on. Check if shared with other users.
     d. Check the location if there are any microwaves that might cause the WiFi’s signal strength to weaken or interrupt
     e. Restart computer / laptop
     f. Try other browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox.

 

Email address and password is not accepted by the browser using Windows. After clicking sign in button, the window for email address and password is blank.

Troubleshooting Guide:

1.  Click "Start button".
2.  Go to Control Panel.
3.  In Network and Internet, click on "Internet Option".
4.  Go to Privacy tab. Select a setting for the Internet zone, drag the slide bar to the lowest level to "Accept All Cookies”
5.  Click Apply then Ok.
6.  Try to sign in again.

 

  1. Check the volume of the video you are watching if full volume.
  2. Ensure that the side switch button is not in Mute or there is no orange mark.  To further check, move the side switch up or down, and you will see the icon on the screen showing that your ringer is on or off.
  3. If still no sound, please see below to check the settings:
    1. Tap the “Assistive Touch button/Home Button”.
    2. Select “Device”.
    3. Check the volume settings if it's on “Mute” or “Unmute”. Check the speaker on the right side and slide it to full volume. Then you may try to play again the video.

Probable Cause: If you are using Safari, JavaScript may not be enabled. Try to enable the JavaScript on your iPhone/Ipad by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Home screen by pressing the “Home button” or by unlocking your phone and press the settings button.
  2. Select Safari from the Settings menu and tap the “Advanced”
  3. Turn on “JavaScript”
  4. Press the Home button to return the iPhone home screen.
  5. Open the Safari and try to play again

If you still get the same issue, please go to http://www.speedtest.net/ to determine your internet speed. If the result is below than the required bandwidth (minimum at least 512kbps), try the following procedure

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap on “General”.
  3. Tap on “Cellular”.
  4. Toggle “Enable LTE” to Off.
  5. Try to access the videos again.

Probable Cause: Internet connection may be slow.

Try the following procedure:

  1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
  2. Check your Wi-Fi signal if within range and has fair-to-strong signal.
  3. Check your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected and turned on.
  4. Check also your other devices (e.g. laptop, desktop) if they are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access to the Internet.
  5. If this problem is still the same, please reset your network settings by tapping the General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

 

Probable Cause: The iPhone/iPad may have lose its configuration

Try the procedure below:

  1. Close the Safari browser
  2. Go to Settings > Safari
  3. Ensure that JavaScript and Plug-Ins are enabled. Try to turn them OFF and ON again.
  4. Ensure that "Accept Cookies" is set to "From Visited" or "Always". For iOS 7, ensure that “Block Cookies” is set to “Never”.
  5. Click "Clear History".
  6. Click "Clear Cookies and Data".
  7. Turn your iPhone completely OFF for a few moment, and then turn it back on again.
  8. Open the Safari Browser and try to sign in again

Only Mozilla Firefox browser will be able to work once adobe flash player is installed. Other browsers will experience error or the plug-in is not available.

To install Adobe Flash Player to your Mozilla browser

  1. Go to this link for Adobe Flash Player Download. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html>
  2. Search for a flash player that is compatible to your Android operating system

          Note: If your Android version is 4.0 and above, search the flash player for Android 4.0

  1. Tap the latest release of flash player to start download
  2. Follow the instructions until the installation is complete.
  3. Once the installation is complete, restart the device.
  4. After restart, go to this link to check if the flash player is installed. http://isflashinstalled.com/>
    1. If it says “YES”, close and re-open your Mozilla browser. Try to play the video again
    2. If it says “No”, try to reinstall the adobe flash player.

Probable Cause: This might be due to slow internet connection.

Troubleshooting Guide for TFC.tv app

  1. Try to reset the modem router for about 1 minute and turn it on.
  2. If you still get the same issue, please go to http://www.speedtest.net/ to determine your internet speed. If the result is below than the required bandwidth (minimum at least 512kbps), contact your local ISP.
