In their respective families, Boy Ronquillo (Bayani Agbayani) and Amboy Cabangon (Vhong Navarro) can never be more out of place--in the scale of the musical Ronquillos, Boy is definitely a flat note, whereas Amboy can relate more to the family dog than to the brainy Cabangons. A failed murder plot against the town mayor drives Boy and Amboy nuts, compelling them to leave their humble town--only to be taken straight to the arms of Mrs. Go (Tessie Tomas), who believes them to be her twin sons because of their extraordinary likeness. On the other hand, twins Mao (Agbayani) and Dao (Navarro), who fled from the city to avoid an arranged marriage, are welcomed as heroes by the mayor and the rest of the townsfolk. The four guys gamely assume the lives of their look-alikes while waiting for an opportunity to escape. This borrowed existence, however, put their former lives in a different light, urging them to go back rather than go away. But can the four still reclaim the lives they now miss, or are they forever trapped in the charade, as their families are already too smitten with their substitutes?
