Liza Soberano first flashed her gorgeous smile on local print ads at the young age of 12, a couple of years after she moved to the Philippines from the US. She later joined show business under the guidance of Ogie Diaz, who advised her to learn to speak Tagalog in order to land good television and film projects.
Her talent manager’s advice proved sound as it landed her the role of Gillian in the film She’s The One, where Liza was first paired with her current on-screen romantic partner Enrique Gil. Their kilig-packed chemistry paved the way for their first major primetime drama, Forevermore. The series became so popular that it earned them the title Breakthrough Love Team of 2015.
The two then returned to the big screen as leads in the film adaptation of the Wattpad hit The Bet, retitled Just the Way You Are, and the romantic drama film Everyday I Love You with Gerald Anderson. All these recent successes brought them the honor of becoming the Most Popular Love Team of Movies and TV at the 47th GGMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards.
The pair is currently making waves with their popular romantic drama Dolce Amore, which was partly filmed in Italy.
