Julia Montes

Julia Montes may have first charmed the Filipino viewers with her antics as part of the comedy gag show Goin’ Bulilit, but it was her unforgettable shenanigans as the antagonistic Clara de Valle in Mara Clara that got her face and talent deeply etched in the hearts of her fans. That was, of course, before she regaled the public again and again with her subsequent roles in the soaps Walang Hanggan, for which she won the Princess of Philippine Television Award and the title Phenomenal Primetime Princess; Muling Buksan Ang Puso; Ikaw Lamang, which got her the Best Actress award at the 13th Gawad Tanglaw; and Doble Kara, which also earned her Gawad Tanglaw Best Actress citations for two consecutive years. Her film debut, Way Back Home, following her Mara Clara success has also been topped by other succesful big screen accomplishments such as The Reunion, The Strangers, A Moment in Time, Halik sa Hangin and Padre de Familia.
