Karylle officially started following the footsteps of her singer-actress mother, Zsa-Zsa Padilla, in 2001 with the launch of her first album Time To Shine. She has since released five more albums, including her Gold record K and the Platinum hits Time for Letting Go and Roadtrip. She then ventured into acting, initially with a supporting role in the film series Mano Po and later with lead roles in the horror flick Bahay ni Lola 2 and the indie films Ligaw Liham and Litsonero.
In 2008, Karylle joined her mom in her home network ABS-CBN, where they shared the ASAP stage as hosts and performers. She was eventually tapped to headline the network’s weekly series Nasaan Ka Maruja? and became part of the International Emmy-nominated telenovela Dahil May Isang Ikaw. She was also part of the acting ensemble featured in the local soap Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal and the Singaporean television hit The Kitchen Musical, for which she earned a nomination at the 52nd Monte Carlo TV Festival.
Karylle was also part of the Singaporean action-drama series Point of Entry and has just recently completed filming the international television series Private Investigator. She is currently seen as one of the regular hosts of the daily noontime show It’s Showtime, for which she has already received the Best Host award twice from the PMPC Star Awards for Television.
