JK Labajo immediately stunned coaches Bamboo Manalac and Sarah Geronimo during the blind auditions for The Voice Kids in 2014. Though he only came third on the final rounds, Coach Lea Salonga was quick to note that his looks, charm and heart already guaranteed him a future in show business, and they eventually did. He was immediately signed up by Star Magic and was tapped to act on his own life story in the drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya.
His notable performance opened more acting opportnuites for JK. This includes major roles in Hawak-Kamay, Pangako Sa ‘Yo and the current teleserye favorite A Love to Last, where he plays the only son of Ian Veneracion. He also took part in two more reality competitions as the third celebrity housemate to join Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 and as a member of the group Voice Next Door in We Love OPM.
JK released his self-titled debut album in 2015, which included a song he has lovingly dedicated to his late mother entitled “Di Ka Man Lang Nagpaalam.”
