Morissette Amon made her first attempt to enter show business by joining The Voice of the Philippines, where she competed as a member of Team Sarah. While the results of the said competition had not been in her favor, she was able to give a remarkably good impression among the Star Records executives who eventually signed her in as a recording artist.
Her home studio immediately tapped her to sing the theme song for the drama series Moons of Desire, which gave way to similar projects for the soaps Two Wives, Flordeliza, Passion de Amor and Doble Kara. Her song Di Mapaliwanag, from her self-titled debut album Morissette, also became the theme song for the Koreanovela My Lovely Girl and won Asianovela Themesong of the Year in 2015.
Morissette joined ASAP as part of the show’s Homegrown Divas, which has now been renamed Birit Queens.
