Bela Padilla was initially introduced in show business as Krista Valle, by which name she joined Star Magic Batch 15 and the teen drama Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2. She later changed her screen name to Krista Sullivan and then to Bela Padilla, after the famous Padilla clan of show business who she is actually related to.
She has in fact shared screen time with her uncle Robin Padilla in the television series Totoy Bato and the movies Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina, At mga Anak and 10,000 Hours, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award from both the FAMAS and Gawad Tanglaw. She also appeared with Japanese actor Jackie Woo in the film Tomodachi, which won as the Best Foreign Language Feature Film at the Madrid International Film Festival in 2016.
Bela was also part of the original cast of the top-rating drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and the Grade A-classified film Camp Sawi.
