This 60s icon first enjoyed popularity as the “Dancing Queen” of Philippine film and television. Among her earlier performances included lead roles in the film classic Maalaala Mo kaya, Palos: Counterspy,Bang-Shang-A-Lang, Darna and The Giants and Mga Mata ni Anghelita. Later on in her career, she moved towards more dramatic roles portraying some of the most unforgettable supporting characters in ABS-CBN teleseryes. This includes the series Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, Tayong Dalawa, and Walang Hanggan. She also played the title role in the true-to-life film Flor Contemplacion and was also seen in Segunda Mano and Etiquette for Mistresses. Helen is wife to comedian, television host and Philippine senator Tito Sotto and mother to actors Ciara and Gian Sotto. She is also the aunt of Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
