Anne Curtis made her “life-changing” move to ABS-CBN in 2004 with the television series Hiram, where she was cast alongside Dina Bonnevie and Kris Aquino. She also immediately became one of the regular hosts and performers in the Sunday afternoon variety show ASAP.
Her first lead role came a year after her big move, when she was tapped to play the title role in Kampanerang Kuba. This was followed by major roles in the primetime hits Maging Sino Ka Man, The Wedding, Green Rose, Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw and the title roles in Dyosa and Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel. Anne also proved to be a stellar television host, which led to her stints in Qpids, Star Circle Summer Kid Quest, I Love OPM and the long-running noontime variety program It’s Showtime.
Anne started out doing romcom, horror and comedy for the big screen with All About Love, Wag Kang Lilingon, and Ang Cute ng Ina Mo. She slowly graduated into heavy drama with Baler, for which she won Best Actress in the Metro Manila Film Festival; In Your Eyes, for which she bagged the Luna Award for Best Supporting Actess; and No Other Woman, which got her a FAMAS award for Best Actress. She then reunited with her television love tandems Luis Gonzales and Sam Milby for lighter big screen releases Babe, I Love You and Who’s That Girl.
Ironic for a self-confessed non-singer, Anne has released two well-received albums entitled Annebisyosa and The Forbidden, which were each subsequently followed by succesful concerts held at the Smart Araneta Coliuseum, entitled Annebisyosa: No Other Concert World Tour and The Forbidden Concert Annekapal.
