Vhong first entered show business as a member of the 90s dance group Streetboys. Upon the group’s breakup, he ventured into comedy by joining the gag show Super Laff-In; the sitcoms Pwedeng Pwede, Whattamen and Toda Max; and the news comedy show Wazzup Wazzup. He would eventually join ASAP as one of its regular hosts and performers, headline the komiks series Mars Ravelo’s Lastikman, become part of the cast of the teleseryes I Love Betty La Fea, May Bukas Pa and Kokey @ Ako, and host his current noontime gig It’s Showtime. The multi-faceted actor has also made remarkable success in the field of cinema with the horror flicks Spirit Warriors, D’Anothers, Bulong, Da Possessed, and Buy Now, Die Later; the laugh-out-loud comedies Banyo Queen, Mr. Suave, Otso-Otso Pamela One, Agent X44, Supahpapalicious and Moron 5.2: The Transformation; the rom-com My Only U; the dramatic flick Jologs; and the fantasy movie Gagamboy. Vhong has also released his share of recording hits including Totoy Bibo, Don Romantiko, Chickboy and Let’s Dance.
