With his tall, dark and handsome features coupled with remarkable acting prowess, Richard Gomez dominated the 90s as Philippine entertainment’s ultimate hunk. He was first featured in the film Inday Bote opposite Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. This was eventually followed by other fantasy hits such as Lola Basyang, Super Islaw and The Flying Kids and Tuklaw. But it was his much heralded dramatic portrayals that sealed his reputation as one of the country’s top caliber actors. He has been awarded Best Actor trophies for his roles in Dahas, Wating, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Hihintayin Kita sa Langit and Filipinas. Richard’s ventures in television with Palibhasa Lalake, Richard Loves Lucy and the first-ever Filipino court room drama Your Honor also contributed greatly to his success. After a break from ABS-CBN, he returned to his mother network in 2012 with a reunion project with his former on and off screen partner Dawn Zulueta for the teleserye Walang Hanggan. His noteable acting in the said soap won him Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series at the Golden Screen TV Awards. He and Dawn also headlined the soap You’re My Home and the movie The Love Affair.
