Birthday: March 29, 1951
Tina Monzon-Palma's name is as synonymous with ‘News and Current Affairs’ as it is with ‘Public Service.’ She is a veteran broadcast journalist, having started her career in the 70's, lived through the Martial Law era as a reporter with courage and integrity, and held high positions in major broadcasting companies. Being in this field for over 40 years, she has been a part of a wide array of Filipino news shows, two of which she anchors up to the present – ‘The World Tonight,’ the longest running multi-awarded newscast program on ABS-CBN and ANC, and ‘Talkbalk with Tina Monzon-Palma,’ an interactive current affairs program of the ABS-CBN News Channel. True to her mark of servant leadership, she has been involved in various civic organizations like the ‘Quezon City Red Cross’ and the ‘Citizens Traffic Action.’ She is also one of the directors of ‘Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility.’ She continues to make her mark through ‘ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc.’ where she plays vital roles for ‘Bantay Bata 163’ and ‘Sagip Kapamilya’ over the last two decades. Having spent most of her life in public service, this is ‘living for others’ in its truest and most beautiful form.
