Her success in portraying the lead role in the classic television drama Flordeluna made Janice de Belen the 80s Teen Drama Princess, a title she shared with the late actress Julie Vega who also starred with her in the films Mga Basang Sisiw and Flor de Liza. She went on to star in some of the decade’s heavy drama classics such as Nagalit Ang Buwan Sa Haba ng Gabi and Dear Mama and took on varied but equally notable roles in the films 14 Going Steady, Shake, Rattle & Roll, When I Fall In Love, Rosenda, Isang Araw Walang Diyos and Abandonada. She continued to deliver remarkable performances in the 90s comedy Anak ni Janice as well as in the more recent big screen favorites Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington, Shake, Rattle & Roll XIV, T’yanak, Haunted Mansion and I Love You to Death. Janice eventually made her way back into television drama with major roles in hit primetime series Familia Zaragoza, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Budoy, Ina, Kapatid, Anak, Honesto and Oh My G!. She was also tapped to co-host the weekly showbiz talk shows Showbiz Inside Report and Buzz ng Bayan. Janice is the sister of actress Gelli de Belen and the mother of actor and chef Luigi Muhlach.
