Carlo Aquino first charmed the Filipino audience with his kiddie antics in Ang TV and his more serious performances in the films Cedie and Kokey. But his portrayal of Ojie in the film adaptation of Lualhati Bautista’s literary classic Bata, Bata… Pa’no Ka Ginawa? became an ultimate milestone in his early career, earning him Best Supporting Actor, Best Child Actor and Child Performer of The Year recognitions in major award-giving bodies. He was also given a Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy for Kahapon, May Dalawang Bata. Movie goers saw Carlo grow from a child actor to a young adult in the Ang Tanging Ina series, where he played Ai-Ai delas Alas’ third child. As a teen, he made young girls’ hearts swoon with her team up with Angelica Panganiban in G-Mik and Berks. He has since been seen doing more mature roles in the television series Flordeliza and We Will Survive, while continuously garnering recognitions in his film and television ventures. Among his most celebrated accomplishments are his multiple awards for his various guest performances in Maalaala Mo Kaya, his Supporting Actor awards for his roles in Mater Dolorosa and Porno, and his Best Actor awards for Sa Aking Pagkagising Mula sa Kamulatan and Tanging Yaman, The Series: Sa Kandungan Mo Inay.
