KC Concepcion was introduced to the world of show business by birth right, being the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and iconic dramatic actor Gabby Concepcion. But she only formally joined her parents’ industry after graduating university with the tevision release of KC From Paris to Pinas: A Documentary, which showcased her life in Paris, and her own drama anthology entitled I Am KC. The young actress was then given the lead role in the Philippine remake of the Koreanovela hit Lovers in Paris. This was followed by other notable roles in ABS-CBN primetime soaps such as Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala and Ikaw Lamang Book 2, which both earned her Best Drama Supporting Actress awards from the PMPC Star Awards. KC has also been tapped to host major shows for her mother network. She took on the spot vacated by Ruffa Gutierrez in the weekly talk show The Buzz, hosted her own morning show entitled Simply KC, became the master moderator for the talent competitions Star Circle Quest: The Search for the Next Kiddie Superstars and The X Factor Philippines, and hosted the prestigious Binibining Pililinas beauty pageant. Her debut film For The First Time easily got her the Princess of Philippine Movies & TV and the PMPC Movie Actress of the Year awards from the GMMSF and PMPC Star Awards, respectively. This was followed by other big screen success such as When I Me U, I’ll Be There, Forever And A Day and Boy Golden: Shoot to Kill, The Arturo Porcuna Story, which earned her a FAMAS Best Actress Award. KC’s studio albums also became raving successes. Her debut album a.k.a. Cassandra ranked No.1 nationwide and reached Platinum status, with its carrier single Imposible earning the most number of music downloads in 2008. Her second album KC also ranked No. 3 on OPM Charts.
