Angelica Panganiban was first introduced to the Filipino audience as a child of six, whose notable talent enabled her to shine among the roster of showbiz proteges in the daily gag show Ang TV. Her early stints in the movies immediately rewarded her with two Best Child Actress awards for her role in Separada and acting nominations for playing Becky opposite her childhood friend Camille Prats in Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa. In her teen years, Angelica amused her fans as Carlo Aquino’s love interest in the youth-oriented shows G-mik and Berks and the movies Ang Tanging Ina and Mano Po. Angelica was launched as a mature actress in the film Santa Santatita, and earned her first grown-up award as Best Supporting Actress for A Love Story. She was soon able to bag top acting recognitions for her roles in the movies Segunda Mano, Here Comes The Bride, and the recent cult favorite That Thing Called Tadhana. In television, Angelica sealed her status as a serious actress with a Villain of the Year award for playing opposite Claudine Barretto in the 2008 drama series Iisa Pa Lamang. She later played the title role in the Philippine adapatation of the Mexican telenovela, Rubi; dual roles in Apoy Sa Dagat, and the legendary character of Madam Claudia Buenavista in the recent remake of the hit teleserye Pangako Sa ‘Yo. Angelica’s longtime stint as a pioneer cast of Banana Split (now renamed Banana Sundae) has also earned her multiple recognitions in the field of comedy, including the Bert Marcelo Lifetime Achievement Award under the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
